What is the standard of the plugs and sockets?
BSEN. 60309-2; this is an international standard for plugs, socket-outlets and connectors/couplers for industrial purposes.

Yes, we do stock couplers - but we refer to these as Connectors.
What IP ratings do you cover?
The Ceenorm U.K. plugs & sockets range offers IP44 (splashproof) or IP67 (watertight) for most products. The exceptions to this are: all 125A plugs & sockets are IP67; and all extra low voltage (50V or less) plugs & sockets are available in IP44 only.
What does IP protection mean?
IP stands for "International Protection" or "Ingress Protection" (Protection against penetration). The IP-Code consists of two digits: The first digit indicates the level of protection that the enclosure provides against access to hazardous parts (e.g. electrical conductors, moving parts) and the ingress of solid foreign objects. The second digit indicates the level of protection provided against harmful ingress of water.
What does the Earth ‘Clock’ Position mean?
To prevent the possibility of connecting items of different voltages or frequencies with one another by mistake, the earthtube (or pin) position is designated in accordance with the voltage or frequencies in such a way to make this impossible.
Note: It follows that on products with pins i.e. plugs and appliance inlets, the earth pin is reversed so that it fits into the correct earth tube position socket.
When counting main contact pins should you include the Pilot Core?
No, the Pilot Core should NOT be counted as a main pin.
